New battery test system optimised for large numbers of single cell tests

Basytec has developed a new product line to supplement the existing product portfolio. The Cell Test System (CTS) has 32 test channels in a unit of only 450 mm * 310 mm * 550 mm. All test channels are totally independent and are optimised for single cell tests. The maximum Charge voltage is 5 V. The test of single Li-ion, NiMH and NiCd cells is possible, but also all other cells and batteries that do not exceed 5 V charge voltage. Each test channel has an additional temperature input for cell temperature monitoring.

The technical innovation automatic, dynamic and offset-free current range selection of the four integrated current ranges (5A, 300mA, 15 mA, 1mA). The dynamic of the test system is 108. This allows testing of small coin cells also as cellular phone or laptop cells with the same equipment. In contrast to MDS and LPS systems there are no options available, what halves size for each channel and what results in a lower cost per channel.

The approved BaSyTest Software does control of the CTS systems. The software includes a test schedule editor, a database oriented data handling system and a data analysing tools.

It is possible to connect several CTS units to a single control computer, also in combination with other BaSyTec test systems. Additionally to the local stored measured data it is possible to mirror the data on a database server.
