The BCT can operate with lead-acid, NiCd, NiMH and Li-ion batteries. The rated battery voltage must be between 2V and 30V. The maximum discharge current is 10A, the maximum continuous power is 150W. An NTC temperature sensor (for example integrated in power tool batteries) is used for temperature measurement. The NTC is also tested for errors.

The BCT is simple to use, and many protection functions and circuits makes the device very robust and ideal for service and laboratory demands.

An optional available software gives the possibility to record discharge curves and to store all relevant parameters for each test. Graphs and numerical data can be exported. The softwre generates automatic test reports. These can be printed and also stored as pdf or html file.
